Community of Practice Volunteer/Unpaid Facilitator Program 2025
Practical support for setting up or running your Carer Support Group over the course of five weeks.
Join our free Community of Practice for Volunteer (unpaid) Facilitators of Carer Support Groups program.
This five-session program offers different practical skills and ongoing opportunities to connect with your peers, with each session focusing on a different topic.
- Wednesday 12 February: Attracting and maintaining membership of your Carer Support Group.
- Wednesday 9 April: Ways to get the money, and other resources, your group needs.
- Wednesday 11 June: Building positive relationships and communication within your group.
- Wednesday 13 August: Establishing boundaries and responding to conflict when it occurs
- Wednesday 15 October: Sharing the load, planning ahead and facilitator self-care.
Participants are encouraged to attend every session to build relationships and connections, however you are welcome to join at any stage and it is possible to attend individual sessions that are of interest.
Please register individually for sessions you plan to attend.
Who can attend
Carer Support Group Facilitators. All carers who facilitate Carer Support Groups in their own time or with minimal support are welcome to join this group (Unpaid or Volunteer).
Attendance is free and we welcome new members. Zoom link will be provided following registration.
