Aged Care

Our population is ageing rapidly and many people look after an older family member with chronic health conditions or dementia.

Disability

Mental Health

Caring for someone with a mental illness can be challenging and confusing. The illness can cause unfamiliar behaviours that aren’t easy to cope with.

Knowledge Centre

Carers Victoria leads and participates in a number of research projects to improve the evidence base around carer issues. We have taken a lead role in engaging with carers to understand current and emerging issues that impact the caring role.

Policy Statements

Our policy statements to government cover a wide range of issues that affect carers. We understand current and emerging issues in the care sector, and we work with government, other peak bodies, service providers and private organisations to address these challenges. We make recommendations to improve the lives of carers and the community sector more broadly. Our policy documents are available to download here.
