Carers Victoria supports carers and young carers (aged 25 and under) who provide unpaid support to family members, friends or community members who have a disability, chronic illness, mental health condition or who require additional care due to older age.
When can you reach out?
Open from Monday to Friday, from 9.00am to 5.00pm, the Carers Victoria’s Carer Advisory Service is a free phone support service that provides information and help in accessing a range of carer-specific services.
Who can reach out?
Carers, Young Carers, families or service providers can contact the Carer Advisory Service, regardless of where the carer lives in Victoria or the nature of their care relationship/s.
Carers Victoria has a committed team of friendly and knowledgeable Carer Support Advisors ready to offer their knowledge and support to help carers navigate various systems such as the Support for Carers program, Carer Gateway, My Aged Care, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Mental Health, etc.
The Carer Advisory Service also supports service providers and health professionals to identify specific resources and services for carers and the people they care for.

Carers Victoria endeavours to respond within 24 hours, however demand fluctuates and response times may vary.
