Carer Support Group Facilitator Training

Have you recently established, or are you wanting to start a Carer Support Group (CSG)? Or do you organise, facilitate, or participate in a volunteer-led committee responsible for a CSG?

Our Carer Support Group Facilitator Training will equip you with the knowledge and skills to perform your role more effectively. This two-part program is an introduction that offers an overview of key ideas and practices related to establishing and facilitating a group.

To complete the program you must attend both sessions.

• Session 1
  Tuesday 4 March 2025 - 10:00am - 12:30pm
• Session 2
  Tuesday 11 March 2025 - 10:00am - 12:30pm

After completing this program, you will have the skills and confidence to:

• establish a Carer Support Group
• effectively facilitate a Carer Support Group
• better understand the dynamic of working with groups.

Who should attend

This workshop is suitable for people who:

• are volunteers and are unpaid
• plan to set up a new Carer Support Group
• have recently established a Carer Support Group
• organise, coordinate or facilitate meetings and would like to develop relevant skills
• are joining a volunteer-led committee.

Please note

• Participants register for both sessions at the same time.
• Both sessions must be attended to complete the program.
