VMCH Carer Engagement Activities

VMCH’s Carer Engagement Activities are designed to support carers’ wellbeing by providing an opportunity to take time out from their caring role and receive the benefits of a social leisure activity and connecting with their peers.

We’re here for people across Victoria except for Wellington and East Gippsland.

If you are an unpaid carer, you may be eligible for our carer’s events.

Feel connected to other carers and have a break from your caring role while accessing a wide range of events and activities including lunches, dinners and High Teas, monthly support groups, arts and craft, movies, overnight retreats, pamper days, comedy shows, theatre, online mindfulness, education, relaxation sessions and much more.

Some examples of regional events available for carers in your area:

Local artist led creative workshop
Hosted by a local artist, explore mosaics, gardening, art and craft, woodworking or ceramics with other carers.

Pamper Session
Take a well-deserved break and pamper yourself at a local day spa. Enjoy a 60-minute relaxation massage or facial to help you unwind from your caregiving duties.

Enjoy a meal at a local restaurant
Bring your appetite and join us for a meal at a local café or restaurant. It’s the perfect opportunity to socialise with fellow carers, share experiences, and enjoy some delicious food together.

Movie and a meal
Unwind with a warm meal and some friendly conversation before settling in for a fantastic film.

Comedy show
In need of a good laugh? Join us for an evening of rib-tickling laughter at a local comedy show. Enjoy the ride with other carers and leave with a smile on your face.

To sign up for VMCH Carers Events:

Get in contact with our friendly team between 8AM - 5:30PM Monday to Friday.
You will receive dates and location information upon registering for the VMCH Carer Engagement Program.
All events are free of charge.
