The Chinese carers social support group north have been established over 15 years and has been continually carried group activities regularly since than. There are about 45 group members, most of them are come from north of Melbourne, originally come from P.R China, new migrant, speak little English. These groups meet monthly and offer culturally appropriate information, education, peer support and recreation sessions. Members feel comfortable to support each other and receive and exchange information in their native languages about various available services.

The group has regular information sessions and workshops such as: NDIS, home and community care, centerlink and health and wellbeing. We have outings if we could get funding support from government, or other organizations.
