Carers of Ageing Parents Group

The Carers of Ageing Parents group is a peer support group for carers who live or care in Glen Eira.

The group uniquely caters for working carers and others for whom an evening slot is accessible. The meetings run from 7.00pm to 8.30pm, or 9.00pm if an activity is planned. Activities run for approx. 45 minutes and will be followed by refreshments and time for storytelling, support, and ideas exchange. The vision for the group is to create a space where carers of ageing parents can: - Connect and enjoy a sense of community with peers; enhance well-being through "escapes" and personal downtime; exchange information, perspectives, and draw inspiration from each other; benefit from the 'release' storytelling and togetherness provide; and learn and offer support to each other.
