About this event

Have you recently established, or wanting to start, a Carer Support Group? Or do you organise, facilitate, or participate in a volunteer-led committee?

Our Carer Support Group Facilitator Training can equip you with the knowledge and skills to take on your role more effectively. The program provides you with a high-level overview of key theory and practices of establishing and facilitating a group.

On completion you should have the capabilities and confidence to:

  • establish a Carer Support Group
  • effectively facilitate a Carer Support Group
  • better understand and work with groups.

Who can attend

This workshop is suitable for people who:

  • plan to set up a new Carer Support Group
  • have recently established a Carer Support Group
  • organise, coordinate or facilitate meetings and would like to develop relevant skills
    are joining a volunteer-led committee.

Please note: If you have experience facilitating groups but would like tips on supporting your group to thrive and remain sustainable, look out for our Community of Practice Volunteer/Unpaid Facilitator Program which will open for registrations in early August.
