We’re a lively, welcoming group of carers who connect for peer support, friendship, and a well-deserved break from our caring roles. As a fellow carer, I facilitate the group and provide support in a safe and understanding environment.
We meet monthly for a Carer’s Morning Tea on the last Friday of the month at 11:00am at Lynbrook Community Centre. It’s a great opportunity to share experiences, enjoy good company and some delicious food! If you’re able, we’d love for you to bring along a small plate of something to share. Don’t worry if you can’t there’s always a tasty selection provided for everyone.
We also host a monthly art workshop at Springvale Bunnings, along with special events like Christmas in July, our festive end-of-year celebration, and casual Devonshire tea meet-ups at a local market.
Coming soon to Keysborough!
The Friendly Carers Group will soon be extending to Keysborough, and will run the first event closer to the end of 2025.
