National Carers Week: 12-18 October 2025

Home » Information and impact » National Carers Week

Carers often feel unrecognised. National Carers Week is one of a range of strategies we use to publicly recognise the role of carers and raise broader community awareness. Each year across Australia, carer organisations like Carers Victoria support events, engage local politicians, and promote key messages around carers and what they need, across the state.

The next National Carers Week will be from 12 - 18 October, 2025.

Carers Victoria will have a host of carer-focused events and resources during that week throughout the state, as we celebrate carers and raise awareness of their crucial contribution.

It is a time to recognise, celebrate and raise awareness about the 3 million Australians who provide care to a family member or friend.
