About this event

Have you recently established, or are you wanting to start a Carer Support Group? Or do you organise, facilitate, or participate in a volunteer-led committee responsible for a CSG?

Our Carer Support Group Facilitator Training will equip you with the knowledge and skills to perform your role more effectively. The program is an introduction that offers an overview of key ideas and practices related to establishing and facilitating a group.

After completing this program you will have the skills and confidence to:

  • establish a Carer Support Group
  • effectively facilitate a Carer Support Group
  • better understand the dynamic of working with groups.

 

Who can attend

This workshop is suitable for people who:

  • are volunteers and are unpaid
  • plan to set up a new Carer Support Group
  • have recently established a Carer Support Group
  • organise, coordinate or facilitate meetings and would like to develop relevant skills
  • are joining a volunteer-led committee.

Please note

Participants register for both sessions at the same time.

Both sessions must be attended to complete the program.

 

These sessions are for community members and volunteers only. If you facilitate a carer group, peer support or yarning circle as part of your paid employment, and would like to undergoe Facilitator training, please contact our Sector team directly sectorengagement@carersvictoria.org.au.
