Bushfire Safety Q&A for the Care Sector

8 Sep 2026 2.00pm - 3.30pm

CFA and FRV are hosting an online event for Disability and Aged Care Service Providers and workers. This event aims to provide essential bushfire safety information for the care sector.

Tuesday 8th September, 2026 2PM-3:30PM

Our Q&As are a place for support workers and service providers to:

  • Hear about the upcoming fire season

  • Learn about new and updated resources

  • Ask questions about bushfire safety

This year we will also be joined by Katherine Burton and Tim Nelson from Abound Communities. When bushfires threatened regional Victoria in January 2026, Abound Communities coordinated the evacuation of residents and staff from Currie Park Retirement Village in Euroa to Shepparton and back again. Join us to hear:

  • How they managed the response

  • What they learnt

  • What they want you to know.
