Ashburton Support Group

This volunteer group, under the umbrella of Sharc/Family Drug and Gambling Help, provides peer-based support for family and friends of problematic alcohol and drug users (AOD), who also regularly experience mental ill health. We also support those whose family members suffer from gambling addiction. Some of our family members also suffer mental health issues themselves. “Family members” include partners, parents, siblings, grandparents, extended family and close friends. Anyone who is concerned about someone else’s alcohol and or drug use and/or gambling is eligible to attend.
