Peninsula Parkinsons Peer Support Group

“The Peninsula Parkinson’s Peer Support Group (PPPSG) was formed in January 2023.

Our Team at PPPSG have been looking back over our incredible journey in the last couple of years. The plans we have made and implemented- the fun we have had- but mostly- the amazing- inspirational people we have met in the course of our time at PPPSG.

The milestones were many. When we started our support group with 7 people- we thought we may be able to double or triple our numbers in the first year. Now our membership numbers are approaching the 170’s.

One of our greatest joys has been the number of PWP (People with Parkinson’s) supporters and carers who come regularly to our meetings with their friend or loved one. There is a great generosity of spirit on display with these much-valued members of our ‘team’.

We again thank our incredible speakers for sharing their knowledge and expertise with as we soak up their words and advice.

In addition to the monthly meetings, we have organised a winery lunch- a Halloween Party- a Melbourne Cup Carnival Party and of course the regular afternoon teas at the monthly meeting.

We now look forward with positivity towards a sensational 2025. We’re glad you are here with us on this journey, and we want you to know how much your support is appreciated.

So, it’s onwards and upwards for 2025. And remember- you are not alone.

From Team PPPSG-
Ken- Phil- Angela- Jean- Jo- Hazel- Lizzie- Mark- Mike- and PLB.

Please note- this group is for both people with Parkinson’s and their supporters.”
