Due to a change in circumstances, Susan Alberti AC has assumed the role of Carers Victoria Ambassador, with Callum Ingram returning to Carers Victoria as its Board Chair.
Since joining the Board in 2025, Susan has been a passionate advocate for carers, making a significant contribution to raising the profile and recognition of carers and the organisation’s work. We are pleased that Susan will continue her connection with Carers Victoria as an Ambassador, allowing her to remain closely connected to the carers and communities she so strongly supports.
The Board is also pleased to announce that Callum Ingram has resumed the role of Chair. Callum returns to the position after previously serving as Chair during 2024–25, following more than a decade of dedicated service on the Carers Victoria Board. Over this time, he has played a key role in guiding the organisation’s growth, including expanding its reach into regional Victoria and supporting the evolution of services to better meet carers’ changing needs.
A carer himself, Callum brings valuable lived experience alongside deep professional, governance and sector expertise. He is a strong advocate for ensuring carers’ voices are heard and reflected in practical, meaningful change. Callum is particularly proud of improvements to the Statewide Carer Advisory Service, which now enables most callers to receive immediate advice and support from a qualified staff member.
The Board is confident that his leadership, experience and commitment will provide strong continuity during this important period for Carers Victoria.
