The Ring RSL Carers Hub is a welcoming, community‑minded space where local carers can take a breath, connect with others who understand their journey, and enjoy meaningful moments of respite. Supported through the Carers Victoria grant, our group brings together people who care for a loved one, offering monthly gatherings, creative activities, wellbeing sessions, and practical support at no cost to carers. What began as a simple idea has grown into a vibrant, compassionate community where carers feel seen, valued, and never alone.
We have relaxed catch‑ups with morning tea or snacks where there is space for carers to connect, share experiences, and unwind.
During this year we have completed activities such as painting, craft, a pamper day, massages, outings and information sessions from local service providers.
We plan to continue the group indefinitely. From July onward, we will return to a simple, low‑cost model focused on connection, peer support, and wellbeing. Our regular monthly gatherings will continue at no cost to carers, supported by the RSL’s facilities and staff.
