The Young Carer Scholarship Program gives young carers opportunities to grow outside of their caring roles. These grants can be used for further education, joining in school or community activities or helping young carers to further their creative or sporting passions.
Secondary school students in Victoria who give care and support to a family member with a disability, mental illness, chronic health issue or an older person with care needs.
Please note all applicants must have the consent of a parent or guardian before submitting.

Carers Victoria has launched their Young Carer Scholarship for 2026.
This scholarship gives young carers attending secondary school in Victoria the opportunity to be acknowledged for their contributions to their family and the community.
The scholarships can be used for further education, joining in school or community activities or helping young carers to further their creative or sporting passions.
