DESCRIPTION:The Pathways for Carers walks offers carers of people with a disability or mental illness an opportunity to share walks together and to learn more about news\, services and supports available to carers. \nWe offer monthly guided walks along the Mildura riverfront\, providing people with a chance to get out and take a break from their normal caring responsibilities and have time to connect with other carers. \nWe will be joined on the walk by representatives from local organisations. \nThe walk is along Mildura’s riverfront meeting at 9.45 am  for 10.00am walk at Bobbie & Me Cafe –  Nowingi Place and takes place on the               3rd Wednesday of each month. \nA free coffee/hot drink from a local café is included in the walk. \n

Together\, we’ll explore opportunities in a safe and supportive environment—and who knows? We might even solve the world’s problems over a drink or two! \nMeals are not included but can be purchased for $25 including a drink from our selected set menu. \n$25 per person includes: \n\nparma\, fish and chips\, curry of the day\, roast of the day\, spaghetti bolognaise.\ndrink option – a beer\, wine or a soft drink.\n\nWe are specialists in the neurodivergent space. \nBookings for this event are necessary. \nHere is our Social Story for this event. \nThese events are proudly supported by Uniting/Carer Gateway.

DESCRIPTION:Music Boosts Wellbeing\nUpper Murray Family Care was passionate about making the UMFC Alchemy Chorus a reality. Multiple studies have demonstrated that music can support brain health and emotional wellbeing with people living with dementia. The success of the founding Canberra Alchemy Chorus has strongly informed UMFC’s approach in developing a local choir that fosters connection\, joy\, and wellbeing for participants and their carers. \nJoin the Chorus!\nUMFC have established an inclusive chorus which can be enjoyed by people living with dementia\, their carers and volunteers. DESCRIPTION:Choirs For Carers is a project run by Creativity Australia supporting Victorian based carers through the power of music\, mindfulness\, and peer connection. This program offers a safe\, inclusive space for carers to take a break\, recharge\, and share experiences with others who understand their challenges. \nRunning from Feb-June 2026 for our Victorian With One Voice choirs. It’s all about inviting new carers into the program and celebrating and supporting existing (unpaid or family) carers in our choirs. It will include free attendance at one of our 13 Victorian choirs and a calendar of both online and in person facilitated peer support discussions.  \nFor more information and dates for peer sessions please register here! \nThis project is made possible with support from The Victorian State Government and Carers Vic. \n

DESCRIPTION:Music Boosts Wellbeing\nUpper Murray Family Care was passionate about making the UMFC Alchemy Chorus a reality. Multiple studies have demonstrated that music can support brain health and emotional wellbeing with people living with dementia. The success of the founding Canberra Alchemy Chorus has strongly informed UMFC’s approach in developing a local choir that fosters connection\, joy\, and wellbeing for participants and their carers. \nJoin the Chorus!\nUMFC have established an inclusive chorus which can be enjoyed by people living with dementia\, their carers and volunteers. DESCRIPTION:Choir for Carers\, a free program designed to support\, connect and uplift unpaid carers across Victoria. \nWhether you’re a carer already singing with one of our With One Voice choirs\, or a carer interested in music\, it’s a space for carers to take a break\, recharge\, and share experiences with others who understand.  \nAlongside attendance at one of our 13 Victorian choirs and our in person peer support sessions\, our weekly online peer support sessions provide connection and community made possible with support from Carers Victoria and the Victorian State Government. \nOur online sessions include singing\, gentle movement\, peer discussions and resource sharing from the comfort of home.
