DESCRIPTION:Music Boosts Wellbeing\nUpper Murray Family Care was passionate about making the UMFC Alchemy Chorus a reality. Multiple studies have demonstrated that music can support brain health and emotional wellbeing with people living with dementia. The success of the founding Canberra Alchemy Chorus has strongly informed UMFC’s approach in developing a local choir that fosters connection\, joy\, and wellbeing for participants and their carers. \nJoin the Chorus!\nUMFC have established an inclusive chorus which can be enjoyed by people living with dementia\, their carers and volunteers. DESCRIPTION:The Pines Learning and Each Family Relationship support for Carers invite you to join this series of workshops for Carers which runs for 6 weeks\, on Tuesday mornings at MC2 (Manningham City Square) in Doncaster to give Carers strategies to help calm a busy mind\, to ease tension in the body and meet the difficult moments with kindness and steadiness. \nThe focus is on Carer Wellbeing\, helping Carers to feel more grounded\, connected and sustained\, drawing on breathwork\, visualisation and somatic grounding\, and guided reflection to find calm. \nEach Family Relationships for Carers have subsidised the cost for unpaid Carers total payment for 6 weeks is $42\, just $7 per session.

DESCRIPTION:Wellbeing Workshops for Carers is a free\, 10-week program designed to support carers to focus on their own health and wellbeing in a welcoming\, supportive environment. \nThe weekly sessions use gentle movement\, circus-inspired activities and creative play to reduce stress\, build confidence and encourage connection with others who share similar caring experiences. Sessions are relaxed\, non-competitive and adaptable\, with space to move at your own pace. \nWho is it for? \nThese workshops are for carers aged 18+ of any gender\, including those providing paid or unpaid support to someone with illness\, disability\, mental health needs or age-related frailty. \nNo prior experience is required\, and all activities are tailored to suit different bodies\, abilities\, cultural backgrounds and comfort levels. \nDates: \nWeekly sessions from Monday 20 April – Monday 29 June\, 1:30PM-3pm \n(No workshop on 8 June – King’s Birthday Public Holiday) \nYou can book for in for individual sessions or a package: sessions 1-5 or 6-10. \nWhere: \nWomen’s Circus\, 395 Barkly Street\, Footscray VIC \n  \nPresented by Australian Multicultural Community Services (AMCS) and Women’s Circus.

DESCRIPTION:A monthly walking group especially for unpaid older carers or carers of older people. This is a chance to get outdoors\, stay active\, and connect with others. \nFirst Monday every month (except public holidays) meet at the front of South Yarra Senior Citizens Centre in Fawkner Park at 10.45am for an 11am start. From here we will take a walk through Royal Botanic Gardens and finish with a morning tea at 11.30am at Domain Brasserie. \nBookings are required for catering purposes. \nFor carers who live in the City of Melbourne or care for someone who does.

SUMMARY:Care4Carers – A safe and supportive environment for women who ‘care’
DESCRIPTION:lm St Mission and Women’s Health East warmly invite women from the outer east area who provide unpaid care to attend our Care4Carers group. \nWhether you support someone with a mental illness\, chronic condition\, or ageing-related needs\, this group is for you. \n  \nWhat to expect \nA safe and welcoming space to connect with others who understand the challenges of caring. \nWeekly sessions will include a mix of: \n\nInformal chat & connection\n\n\nRelaxing\, fun\, and wellbeing-focused activities\n\n\nSharing experiences with like-minded women\n\nMorning tea provided. \n  \nDates and time \nEvery Thursday\, Term 1 2026 \n10:30 AM – 12:00 PM \n  \nLocation\, parking and transport \nElm St Mission\, 654 Mountain Hwy\, Bayswater\, VIC 3153 \nThe venue is accessible and designed to be welcoming for all.
