As a Care Finder\, Sasha has helped many carers to navigate services through to the Support at Home Program. \nThrough their experiences and knowledge\, they will discuss these topics: \n\nThe process of accessing Aged Care Services\n\n\nBecoming a registered supporter\n\n\nDifference between the Commonwealth Support Program and Support at Home Program\n\n\nWhat are the waiting times to receive an assessment and access services\n\n\nWhat does co contribution mean\n\n\nAccessing financial support\n\n\nWho can support carers through this process.\n\nYou will have the option to submit a question at the time of registration. Sacha then worked as a co-ordinator for Veteran Home Care\, supporting veterans and their carers to access both veteran specific supports\, and also to understand My Aged Care. Sacha now works as a care finder\, and supports vulnerable and marginalized people to navigate My Aged Care. She is well versed in the changes since November 1 2025\, and has been working through various challenges relating to the change to assessments\, and the implementation of Support at Home. \nRachael Kimber \nAt Carers Victoria\, Rachael Kimber serves as the Practice Leader for Service Delivery and Innovation\, overseeing both the respite and mental health carer peer worker programs. Her experience spans a wide range of roles across government and community services\, with a particular focus on aged care. Rachael is genuinely passionate about working alongside communities\, especially carers to create services and opportunities that help people live and age well.
