Our Core Business

We work collaboratively with Carers Australia and the other State and Territory based Carer Associations to represent and advocate and provide carer services on behalf of carers throughout Australia.
Our core work includes:
-
Being the 'voice' of carers
-
Raising awareness of carers and caring in our communities
-
Being the place to go for all carers and for information about carers
-
Providing effective, quality services and programs to support the needs of carers and the people they care for
-
Create innovative services and products to meet the needs and service gaps for carers and the people they care for
-
Working to represent all carers, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander carers, carers from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, and LGBTIQA+ carers
-
Research, policy development and effective advocacy.
The Way We Work
Carers, the people they care for and their families are at the centre of everything we do; we support carers self-directing their services.
Our work is undertaken in close collaboration with carers, our member associations and strategic partners; working towards a common goal.
We act with integrity, ensuring accountable and ethical organisational practice.
As a national network our work encourages personal growth and empowerment of carers, the people they care for and their families.
We celebrate diversity and strive to provide inclusive services, recognising that carers come from all walks of life and have different needs.
We strive for innovation, and continuous improvement.
We achieve our mission through awareness raising, advocacy and the delivery of carer services.
We utilise and integrate digital technologies.
